Extra activities

Extra activities
Option 1:
Difficulty
Type: Vocabulary introduction
Purpose: To teach the student words related to supermarkets
Method: Google a picture of a supermarket and use it to introduce vocabulary e.g. a picture of the product section.

Option 2:
Difficulty ★★
Type: Grammar practice - countable / uncountable nouns
Purpose: To teach the student the difference between countable and uncountable nouns.
Method: Brainstorm some different items in a supermarket. Then show the student how items that fall into the categories below are usually uncountable.

You can then do some practice with quantifiers if you like.

Option 3:
Difficulty ★★★
Type: Role-play
Purpose: Practicing fluency in regards to grocery shopping
Method: (This is a more advanced version of the role-play in the book. Instead of planning one meal, a whole party needs to be planned) P1 and P2 plan a party together, discuss the different things they need to buy, then role-play going to the supermarket to buy them,
